Another time of change

So much has changed so quickly I find my head still spinning from it all. I'm not unfamiliar with change, nor do I shy away from it. Last summer when I moved from home all the way to New England I embraced the changes facing me and jumped at all then new opportunities sprawled out in front of me.

This summer when Misa suggested a road trip I jumped at the chance for a new adventure. I love to travel and what could be better than exploring this great nation up close and personal?

Little did I know as plans were made, resignations were given at work and family was notified of our traveling plans, that I was about to get the biggest shock of my life.

I'm pregnant.

I know. I was in shock too. I'll wait while you catch up......

Ready?

Panic quickly gave way to anxiety as I decided how to tell my family and friends my very unexpected news. Thankfully I have a wonderful circle of people around me and everyone was very accepting and supportive. Amazingly it didn't take the shock long to ware off for everyone either.

Now those feelings have given way to excitement and sheer nerves. I worry about everything and think, almost obsessively, about what may or may not happen in the future. I worry about my health, the baby's health, being a good mom and being able to support us both primarily on my own.

I've never worried about things so much before in my life.

With the help of my amazing sister and my wonderful parents I've been able to avoid panic and stress and focus on the adventure at hand. This could very well be my last big adventure, travel wise, for many years. It will, however, be my last great single adventure because after February/March it wont just be 'me' ever again.

So, here is to traveling and enjoying the most out of life whenever possible. To my sister, the most amazing woman I know next to my mom. To my parents for fighting the urge to buy out the Target baby department and for making baby blankets. To the bond that is sisterhood and the adventures that will always be cherished in my heart.
